The Other Bad Guy in the Britney Spears Case

Since the ruling in the Britney Spears stalker case came down,
the public has gotten used to the mug of stalker-turned-conspirator Adnan Ghalib.
Now they are getting a look at the other guy in the case.

According to celebrity gossip site, a New Zealand man has filed suit against Sam Lufti,
accusing him of terrorizing him and spreading accusations about him.

Hugh Richards of Auckland has accused Lufti of posing as Spears,
spoofing her email and sending various cease and desist letters to him and his son, Stuart,
accusing them of harassing Spears and also alleging that Stuart had a mental disorder.

Richards also claims Lufti used the account to insult his appearance
and signed off one letter with the phrase "asshole hope you die."

In one email, dated June 9 of last year, Lufti, as Spears, accuses Hugh's son
of spreading rumors about Spears, saying that
"He [Stuart] has a way to hack, snoop, and lie to get info and he bombards
family members, friends and business associates with lies, fake emails,
harassing phone calls, etc."

Lufti, who has been served with a restraining order by Spears along with Ghalib
and attorney Jon Eardley, accusing them of conspiring to steal from
and take advantage of Spears.

On Wednesday, Spear's stylist, identified only by her last name "Romero,"
testified that Lufti texted her several times over Christmas 2008,
attempting to get her to relay messages to Spears.

In addition to the restraining order against the three men, Ghalib has been charged
with assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor assault after a incident
with a officer who served the restraining order on him.
If convicted, he faces seven years in prison.

Britney Spears song Banned !

Britney Spears' 3rd single from her latest Circus has been banned!

Apparently, "If You Seek Amy" spells something naughty
when you say it fast enough.

Old joke. New audience.

Britney sings,
"All the boys and the girls are begging to If You Seek Amy."

Hey! No spelling on air!

Radio stations have threatened to ban the song deeming it inappropriate
to teens who are already singing along to lyrics like
"let's make love in this club, my neck, my back
lick my [expletive] and my crack..."

So, Brit has been ushered back to the studio to record "If You See Amy".

Which given the provocative lyrics like
“All the boys and the girls are begging to If You Seek Amy”
mean that the song no longer makes sense.

The raunchy song also includes lines like:
“Oh baby baby If You Seek Amy tonight,
oh baby baby we’ll do whatever you like.”

Perhaps it was a bad idea to release it as a single in the first place.
It’s certainly not fit for the ears of Britney’s many young fans…

Britney Spears has rubbished rumours
she’s to present hit US show Saturday Night Live again.

The singer was reported to be returning to the programme next month.
But producers insists there is ‘no truth’ to the story.

Britney, 26, is due to appear on Good Morning America on 2 December
to launch her new album Circus.
She will treat viewers to her first live gig in over a year.

Britney Spears documentary to screen on Sky1



Sky1 has picked up the exclusive UK rights to singer Britney Spears'
new warts-and-all documentary.
The 90-minute Britney: For the Record will air on Sky1 and Sky1 HD less than 24 hours
after it premieres in the US on MTV in December.

For the Record follows Spears over three months as she records
and promotes her latest single, Womanizer, and sixth studio album, Circus.

The documentary also features her talking about the issues
that saw her dominate the headlines over the past year.
Sky1's senior acquisitions executive, Louisa Forsyth, said:
"Britney Spears is an international icon and the whole world
has been fascinated by her story."

The documentary, which has been distributed by FremantleMedia Enterprises,
has been made by film-maker Phil Griffin through production company Radical Media.

Britney Spears to star in her own biopic?

Britney Spears is set to star in a biopic of her life,
according to tabloid newspaper reports.

According to the Daily Mirror British director Phil Griffin, who has directed
music videos for Amy Winehouse, has signed up to helm the project.

The newspaper quotes an anonymous source as revealing that the biopic
will be "dark and gritty" and will cover the singer's recent troubled times,
including her infamous head-shaving incident and the custody battle for her two children
with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A shooting schedule or further details of the cast and crew
were not reported.

Britney Spears will celebrate her 27th birthday on TV -
with a performance on U.S. breakfast show GOOD MORNING AMERICA.

Spears has shot a teaser ad for the big show,
which will take place in Bryant Park, New York on 2 December.
She says,
"It'll be the biggest birthday bash to ever hit morning TV!
Come blow out the candles with me."

Britney Spears to debut Womanizer music video

Her new single "Womanizer" is scheduled to be shown on ABC TV's
news show 20/20 on Friday night.
Britney Spears is shown dressed as a seductive secretary in preview shots.
The video was directed by Joseph Kahn, the man behind her celebrated "Toxic" video.

There are high expectations that "Womanizer" will confirm Spears' comeback following
a troubled few years, during which she suffered a nervous breakdown.

The singer won three awards at the MTV VMAs last month and fans are hoping
that the release of Womanizer will send her back to the top of the charts.

The shots, in which Spears looks healthy and happy, are a far cry from images
of the singer shaving her own head in a hairdresser's window
that were seen around the world last year.

Womanizer is the first single from Spears' upcoming studio album Circus
which is released on December 2.

An early version of the song, which record bosses had been desperate to keep under wraps,
was leaked onto web over the summer,
threatening to destabilise her otherwise successful comeback.

Spears is expected to perform Womanizer on Simon Cowell's
talent show The X-Factor later in the year.

Jamie Lynn Spears not pregnant again

Jamie Lynn Spears is not pregnant again, according to reports Wednesday,
disputing earlier reports that she was.

OK! Magazine reported that despite prior rumors, Spears was not pregnant.
"I talk to [her mom] Lynne all the time. Believe me, she would have mentioned
if that little girl is expecting again. That's just a bunch of made-up crap," said a source.

According to the National Enquirer, Spears, the sister of Britney Spears,
was reportedly pregnant again after giving birth to daughter Maddie Briann on June 19.

The Enquirer reported that Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, and her mother Lynne
were left "hysterical" after she took a home pregnancy test.
"Jamie Lynn believed she couldn't get pregnant while she was breast-feeding,"
said the source to the Enquirer.


"She'd expected to have her period by early September,
but a home pregnancy test came back positive and Jamie Lynn cried her eyes out,"
continued the source.
"Lynne was livid when she found out."

However, the OK! Magazine report contradicts the Enquirer,
but no official representatives from the Spears family have confirmed
nor denied the pregnancy rumor.
According to reports, Spears recently split from her boyfriend Casey Aldridge,
the father of her daughter Maddie.

In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Kelli Dawson, a former friend of Aldridge,
claimed that she was romantically involved with him even after Maddie's birth.
Spears denies the rumors.

Spears' prospective pregnancy conjured up images of her sister Britney Spears,
who had two children within a calendar year.
Her son Sean Preston Federline was born on September 14, 2005 and her second son
Jayden James Federline was born on September 12, 2006.

Britney Spears has listed her Beverly Hills home for $7.9 million.


 The house is in a gated community and has about 7,500 square feet,
with six bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms.
There's a wet bar, a library, a den, high ceilings and stone and mosaic tile floors.
The master bedroom has a fireplace and a loggia.
Then there's the pool, spa and arbor.
It is being offered for sale partially furnished and decorated.

This is the very same house that Britney Spears was wrenched from in January
by a well-executed LAPD plan to skirt the paparazzi and have the singer
involuntarily committed to a psychiatric ward.

Neighbors are unlikely to forget that winter night with helicopters buzzing overhead
and more than 100 paparazzi who chase Spears for a living hovering at the gates.

Spears was last seen looking for a new place to live in the Hidden Hills
and Calabasas areas northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Britney Spears has been seen all over Manhattan this week, but on Wednesday
she ventured up to the Bronx to stop by John Philip Sousa Middle School 142
and deliver a $10,000 check to the school’s year-old music program.

While there, Britney got a taste of what her money would help support:
The school’s band, the Sousatones, played for the pop star, and a seven girl chorus group sang
“I Am Woman” for her.
The money was donated by Elizabeth Arden, the cosmetics and fragrance company
that makes Brit’s Believe, Fantasy and Curious fragrance lines.

“I really enjoyed the time I spent at the John Philip Sousa Middle School,” Spears said.
“I’ve been working with the people at Elizabeth Arden for the last five years,
and I know how passionate everyone is about the school.

“I loved hearing the school orchestra and the children sang so beautifully,” she added,
“The fact that Elizabeth Arden made such a large donation for the school music studio
in my name was so generous.”

Britney, whose new album, Circus, is slated for release on December 2,
also recently revealed that she has plans to hit the road and go
“probably around the world” sometime next year.
Maybe she’ll take the Sousatones along with her.

“When you’re ready to take us on the road for an opening act, we’re ready,”
band director Sal Mazzola told her.
“You’ll be the first people I call,” she replied.

Britney Spears plays waitress in “Womanizer”

Britney Spear is filming as a waitress in her new video "Womanizer".
The pop star was wearing a black wig and a red lipstick during the shoot.
She plays a vampy waitress/erotic dancer and makes out with a hot boy toy on a table.
This is quite similar to her other videos.

The shooting took place at Elevate Lounge, a club located within Takami Sushi & Robata restaurant
on the 21st floor of an office building in downtown L.A.
Dancers at the shoot were dressed in waiter uniforms - white dress shirts,
skinny ties, and black pants or leggings.

"Womanizer," is the first single by Spears' in upcoming album Circus.
According to sources the album will soon hit radio.
Spears will start practicing live performances next month.
The lyrics of the song similar to a eurotrash-y remix of The Turtles' "Happy Together".

at her recent HBO special with what they (convincingly) claim
is actual unprocessed audio from her microphone.
The results are not pretty ... in aural terms at least.

Britney shows plenty of skin and tackles the dance routines with the enthusiasm
of a poledancing cheerleader but all the while she huffs, puffs, mutters ‘omigods'
and sings along tunelessly to her own backing track.

This is the true face of modern pop.
In the studio, any pretty face can have a vocal spliced
(whereby multiple vocal takes are cut up and edited together to ensure only correct notes survive)
and autotuned (a process where notes are digitially moved up and down the scale
until it is perfectly in tune with the backing track) until it sounds like the most tone
deaf amateur can sing like a bird. Or at least like a robot, since it does tend
to lend a slightly synthetic tone to vocals.

Autotune has become such a standard tool that a producer I know even adds it
to vocalists who can actually sing, because he says it just doesn't sound
like a modern pop record without it.

Studios have always been the home of trickery.
The only rule is that there are no rules. But at least there was a time when the artist
had to be able to pull it off in front of an audience.
The live arena was where you separated the talented from the wannabes,
where true musical art was allowed to shine.
Now, aided by all kinds of triggering and sequencing, the worst singer can mime away
to their own vocals with a live band while demonstrating acrobatic dance moves
that should leave them as breathless as their salivating audience.

We all know this ... still, its amusing to have the illusion so cruelly exposed.

Many of the greatest artists of popular music can't really sing either
(Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Nick Cave to name a few).
But they never felt the need to pretend, they let their fragile authentic voices
carry the human emotion at the core of their art. 

We get the pop stars we deserve. If  what you really want is cheap sensation:
midriff, lapdancing and lowest common denominator machine tooled pop assembled
by industry hacks then what does it matter if the pin up of your choice
has the musical talent of an X Factor reject.
But maybe, just to keep the playing field level, we need a new advisory sticker
for our records: No Autotune Was Used In The Recording of This Song.

Lynne Spears tells All

In a rare TV interview, Lynne Spears appeared on NBC's The Today Show
on Wednesday, where she opened up to host Meredith Vieira
about how her youngest child, Jamie Lynn Spears, told her
that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge were expecting a child.

"She hands me a note and tells me to go into the bedroom and read it,"
Lynne recalled.
"It said she was pregnant and everything was going to be okay....
I thought it was a joke. I kept waiting for the punchline."

But after noticing that Casey, who was in the house was the bomb was dropped,
couldn't look her in the eye, Lynne realized this was no joke.

"I was in shock... I started to cry,"
said Lynne, who also revealed that, as a mom, she tends to take the blame
for all her children's mistakes on her own shoulders.
"What did I do?" she asked herself at the time.
"I took all the blame... It's always my fault."

go from the top of the pop charts to the bottom of the tabloid barrel
and now once again surging, Lynne says,
